It is the 24th of February, and 15 years ago today one of Liverpool’s local heroes and greatest ever players scored his final goals for the club.
The man simply known as ‘God’, Robbie Fowler, scored two penalties in a 4-0 victory over Sheffield United.
Fowler recently told BT Sport the only time he looked at the record books was in his second stint at the club, as he wanted to overtake Sir Kenny Dalglish in LFC’s all-time top goalscorer list. Fowler duly did so, and sits one place ahead of King Kenny in sixth.
