Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones could be fit to take part in Sunday’s game away to West Ham, according to Goal’s Neil Jones.
The Toxteth midfielder has been absent with an eye injury, but could play some part in the top four clash at the weekend.
On the latest episode of our Journo Insight Show, Neil went through Liverpool’s injury list and rated the chances of those players appearing on Sunday.
Neil said:
“I think Curtis should be alright for the weekend.”
“Hopefully Curtis, for the weekend, should be available for the squad but I don’t expect to see Gomez at West Ham. I think we can rule him out, Milner, Keita and Bobby.”
Redmen Reacts
Curtis Jones offered a superb attacking threat in the games against Brentford and Porto, but unfortunately, struggled against Brighton. Hopefully the rest after missing the Atletico game has given him some time to recharge his batteries in readiness for a tricky away tie at West Ham.
It is good news for the Reds that he should be able to play some part at the London Stadium, even if that is only from the bench. Thiago Alcantara should continue his recovery and could be in line for a starting berth. Liverpool’s midfield options will also be boosted by the news Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was only taken off as a precaution on Wednesday night.
