Article by Adam Brown @AdamMNViAfter extending our lead at the top of the Premier League table, it’s time for a run of two games which could define the season. If we manage to defeat both Arsenal and Manchester City in the space of a week, then we can really start to get excited. Irrespective of the upcoming results though, Liverpool are truly in this title race. Arsenal’s form has dipped after their unbeaten streak came to an end, but, on paper, they have one of the strongest sides in the Premier League, with a strikeforce that can turn up on any given day. With the difference in form between both sides and Arsenal’s recent confusion in defence, this should be a game where the Reds will be confident of winning. The goalkeeper and back four should remain the same for the next two matches, especially with Lovren now deciding to casually volley balls into the top corner. In midfield, the competition for places is beginning to show. Henderson’s performances in the last two games have been excellent – and we’ve already mentioned how Fabinho has begun to hit form over the past few weeks. Fabinho’s last bad game for Liverpool was against Arsenal at the Emirates, so it’s a matter of caution or redemption for Klopp’s team selection. Given Henderson’s performances in the last two games, he deserves to start this one, with the Brazilian coming on later on in the game to shut the game down. This is the sort of game that Arsenal will likely want to contain our attack and make the most of their opportunities, so a fast start is necessary. For that reason, Shaqiri should start alongside Wijnaldum who can allow the Shaq to get forward. The front three remains unchanged.
