By Adam Brown – @AdamMNViLiverpool’s 2020/21 season begins with another cup final as the Reds head to Wembley to take on Arsenal for the community shield. Both Rhian Brewster and James Milner will be hopeful of playing a significant part of Saturday’s final after impressing in Austria.Brewster’s performances are attracting Premier League interest, but an impressive showing against Arsenal could mean a U-turn on Klopp’s plans to loan out the forward for experience. The Liverpool manager has assured fans that Virgil van Dijk will be available after the Dutchman’s injury scare against Salzburg. Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com, Klopp said: “Virg only looks like he has a piercing now and has a plaster on it, there will not be a problem.”

Here’s how we should line up:Alexander-Arnold is close to returning and could feature, but there’s no need to risk a key player ahead of the restart of the Premier League season. Williams should start.Milner’s performances in pre-season are worthy of a start on Saturday. The veteran has linked up well with the attack and will be strong support for Naby Keita who will be the more advanced option. The dangerous front three will start the game, but Klopp won’t wait too long to introduce the likes of Rhian Brewster and Takumi Minamino if things aren’t clicking. The young striker’s finishing has been excellent of late, while Minamino has looked sharp and much more cohesive within the group. It’s a chance to avenge the defeat at the Emirates in this one. If we lose, we can say the competition doesn’t matter – but there’s no better way to start the new season than with another trophyBy Adam Brown @AdamMNVi
