A sluggish performance saw few chances created by the Reds on Sunday before Naby Keita picked out Sadio Mane to take control of the game against Aston Villa. Liverpool must improve if they are to secure centurion status with a tougher turn in fixtures coming up, but it’s a Wednesday night on the south coast against Brighton which Klopp must navigate first.

Manchester City’s record-setting 100-point season is in danger with the Reds requiring 12 points from five games to break it. The Premier League champions are likely to start a strong line up against the Seagulls.

Here’s how we should line up:

One change to the defence from Sunday sees Neco Williams start with Andy Robertson on the opposite flank. Klopp should be cautious of the Scotsman’s game time though, with James Milner ready to be introduced early into the second half.

Lallana starts in the six behind Keita and Wijnaldum. Brighton are unlikely to offer much when attacking, so it’s a call for midfield options whom can control the game for 90 minutes.

Roberto Firmino showed how important he is to the side when coming on against Villa. The Brazilian should start here with Salah and Shaqiri on the flanks; Mane can be rested for the weekend.

Brighton aren’t mathematically safe yet, but sit nine points above the drop-zone – It would be unsurprising if the squad are beginning to feel that the job is done which is only positive for Liverpool. The Seagulls may threaten in spells but the Reds should dominate once the deadlock is broken.

Score prediction: Brighton 0 – 3 Liverpool
