Article by Adam Brown @AdamMNViIt’s time to return to winning ways. While some are upset at going out early in the FA Cup, we need to recognise what the priorities are this season – especially the Premier League. Overall from the game against Wolves, there wasn’t too many positives; the injury to Lovren has shortened us even further, which means that we’re down to using players from other positions. Fortunately, Joel Matip has been back in training this week and Joe Gomez isn’t too far away, but it’s likely going to be Fabinho who will need to come in against Brighton. Alberto Moreno didn’t do enough to warrant competing for a starting spot against Robertson, and with the rumours that he wishes to return to Spain, the Scottish captain will remain as Liverpool’s starting left-back. Virgil van Dijk is joined by Fabinho, Trent comes in for Camacho. In terms of the midfield, the performance on Monday was dry – it didn’t seem to click. Milner didn’t have his best game of the season and Keita couldn’t get into the game. Keita has had some excellent games this season, particularly against Spurs and Burnley, but the chemistry between Shaqiri and the front three has destroyed sides at times. Although if Klopp does go for Keita over Shaqiri, we can still expect goals. Wijnaldum, who is looking like our most consistent midfielder right now maintains his position as the supporting cast to both the attack and defence. While some fans have been critical of Sadio Mane of late, we must remember that he’s scored in two of our biggest games against United and Arsenal and is a winger that could get into any side in the Premier League.Adam Brown – @AdamMNViPrediction: Brighton 0 – 3 LiverpoolScorers: Mane (2), Firmino.
