Wednesday provided one of the best performances of the season at exactly the right time. The influence of Trent Alexander-Arnold in his return to right-back was clear, delivering crosses only seen from the world’s best wide players.

The performance was refreshing especially because of how many players showed up – it’s hard to point anyone out who didn’t perform. Jurgen Klopp re-settled Liverpool’s back five, and the players that came in showed why we have the depth to go on a strong run until the end of the season.

That in mind, it’s difficult to make any changes. Klopp’s press conference suggests that Firmino will be ready for Sunday, but should we risk him? The Brazilian is a great option off the bench.

Same again. On the back of four clean sheets, any changes to the heart of the defence would be illogical. Robertson and Trent enable the team to be much more fluid going forward.

Performances from Milner in midfield are much more pleasing than at full-back. He steps up in big games, just like he did against Manchester City in the Champions League last season. Keita is also an option, but opportunities will be available after the derby.

Mo Salah was a constant threat for Watford’s defence, giving glimpses of the unplayable Egyptian King from last season. A great time to hit form if this is a sign of things to come.

The front three remains the same, with Origi’s showing worthy of keeping his place. Some passes were off, but his play was positive as demonstrated by his goal. Fans also credited his work rate off the ball, helping Robertson out on a number of occasions. He looked like a Klopp player.

Away from the Everton fans bitter “Celebrated like the World Cup” comments, this is a game where a statement can be made. Back-to-back strong wins would unsettle City.

Score prediction: Everton 0 – 3 Liverpool
