Oxlade-Chamberlain in? Gomez or Lovren? These are the two biggest lineup decisions for Jurgen Klopp this Sunday.
A win for Liverpool would send the Reds nine points clear at the top of the Premier League table. But not just that, the toughest fixtures of the first half of the season will have passed; it’s an opportunity for Liverpool to apply insurmountable pressure on Pep Guardiola.
The best sides are faced with selection dilemmas, and Oxlade-Chamberlain’s recent form is providing glimpses of the midfielder at his best. Ox is causing problems for defenders with direct running which has seen him score four in his last four outings. Manchester City’s injuries and weakened defence mean it’s a game where the Liverpool attack could profit from starting fast.

Here’s how we should line up:
Robertson’s inclusion should be the one change made to the defence from Tuesday. Gomez maintains his place with the pace of City’s attack in mind.
Ox must start. City’s approach will allow space for him to attack in a fixture where he has already shown he can perform in. The likes of Henderson and Milner will be important in the second half when closing the game out.
The front three remains the same.
Anfield will be massive for this one. Liverpool have to attack City – look to match their quality and outwork them. This squad is currently playing like champions and it will be hard not to believe the Premier League title is on the way should all three points be secured on Sunday. Pep knows it, too; he can’t stop talking about the Reds – every day there’s a new quote or comment.
The reality is Liverpool are playing like ‘that’ team who everyone hates – the side who always find a way and have quality across all areas of the pitch. The best thing is the rest of the league have to simply watch; there’s nothing they can do about it.
Score prediction: Liverpool 3 – 1 Manchester City
