Here’s how we should line up:
A youthful back four should see a debut in the Champions League for Billy Koumetio. Neco Williams continues his run in the side with Kostas Tsimikas handed another chance to impress.Jake Cain has impressed with the academy and could well have done enough to earn a start here with rest needed for Jordan Henderson. I don’t see a reason not to start him against Midtjylland if available.Naby Keita and Trent Alexander Arnold both returned to the squad against Wolves which means a chance for minutes to improve sharpness. Five substitutes should allow the Guinean to start the game alongside Curtis Jones.Rest for the front three allows a chance for Takumi Minamino to get some minutes, but where will the Japanese star play? We’ll likely see Divock Origi, but after not performing in the nine last time, the Belgian could be moved onto the left flank to allow Minamino to play centrally.To keep a player in the mould of Bobby Firmino central, I’ve gone with Minamino as the centre-forward. Origi and Jota start on the flanks.A lighter team selection and a trip to Denmark could make this one an entertaining game to watch.
