Starting XI: How should Liverpool line up against Napoli?

Article by Adam Brown @AdamMNVi While it’s nice to be top of the league, exit from the Champions League on Tuesday night would be a crucial blow to Liverpool’s season. The two preparation games for this tie have gone perfectly – both convincing wins with goals from key players. The only negative from the past two fixtures played is the injury to Joe Gomez, but Matip has been solid since coming in; arguably worthy of keeping his starting place for this game. In defence, Trent should come back in for Milner to offer a set piece and attacking threat from the flanks. How many changes should we make to the back four when a clean sheet is of critical importance? It could be too risky for this game. If Matip had looked poor in his appearances, then there would be more of a case for Lovren to come back in, but the defence has been fairly solid with the Cameroonian next to van Dijk. Fabinho is vital in this one. The Brazilian is exactly the type of player required in a game where there is so much in the balance. His performance against Everton shows that he’s more than capable of playing on the big occasion, especially when behind Keita and Wijnaldum. Should Gini play in the six?
