By Adam Brown (@AdamMNVi)A frustrating evening against West Brom saw Liverpool drop two points in a performance which failed to re-ignite after a promising opening spell at Anfield.Roberto Firmino almost won it late on but was denied by Sam Johnstone. The Reds also suffered another injury blow which saw Joel Matip forced off in the second half.Newcastle are up next in a game which could be difficult after Allardyce showed the effectiveness of a 6-4-0 setup. But for Sadio Mane’s strike and some half chances, the Reds struggled to increase the lead. Still, Klopp’s side are top of the league and the return of Thiago could begin a winning run in the title race.

Here’s how we should line up:Rhys Williams has performed well but has made a couple of errors which is to be expected with a 19-year-old centre-back. Nat Phillips should come in for this one; the former Bolton academy defender has looked the more commanding when deployed in the Premier League.Thiago returns and can hopefully take the Reds into a new level. The Spanish international comes in for Curtis Jones with Henderson and Wijnaldum completing the trio. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will also compete for minutes to regain sharpness. Some fans have short memories with some of the comments on social media regarding Mo Salah. The Egyptian king was unplayable against Crystal Palace before failing to make an impact against the Baggies; Mo starts alongside Firmino and Mane and will be eager to register on the score-sheet.There may be reasons for concern after the West Brom game but the return of Liverpool’s marquee signing from Bayern Munich will be the difference here. The pass played by Joel Matip for Sadio Mane’s goal is a one which Thiago will execute consistently against a pragmatic Newcastle defence. The Reds will return to winning ways on Wednesday night.Score prediction: Newcastle United 0 – 3 Liverpool
