The Starting XI Prediction Show returns for another season with Premier League football and fans finally returning after enduring the pain of fake crowd noise.

Newly promoted Norwich are up first for the Reds who come into the match with some centre-backs available. Virgil van Dijk is building up his minutes which should see the Dutch star ready to take his place back, but starting on Saturday could be too early.

Harvey Elliott has shown that he could be a key part of Klopp’s plans this season, impressing in friendlies from central-midfield, while Naby Keita looks ready to deal with the physical demands of the Premier League. Is it Naby SZN? That’s what Liverpool twitter is suggesting.

The Reds will be without Curtis Jones for this one who misses out with a concussion. Andy Robertson will also miss sometime after his recent ligament injury. The Scotsman should be back in September.

Here’s how we should line up:

Here’s how we should line up:

Kostas Tsimikas comes in for Robertson with the Greek fullback looking impressive during pre-season. Joel Matip looks most ready out of the returning centre-backs with new signing Ibrahima Konate playing alongside him. Trent starts on the right.

Fabinho and Thiago were vital last season and the pair could be significant again in Liverpool’s title challenge. Keita earns a start after a run of impressive games.

Who starts in the front three could be an issue with Diogo Jota’s emergence last season – anyone out of form could well be dropped which hopefully won’t affect morale too heavily. I’ve gone with Jota, Firmino and Salah here, but all four of Liverpool’s star attackers will be important this season.

Score prediction: Norwich City 0 – 3 Liverpool
