Klopp’s back five which was settled before the international break can hopefully pick up where they left off. It could be beneficial to get Gomez some minutes at some stage to consider whether he can come in for Robertson against Porto. Jordan Henderson was impressive for England, so should be the sharpest of our two defensive midfielders. After a goal and assist for Gini, the Dutchman has continued to show why he’s been our most consistent midfielder of late. There’s a competition for places in our team at the moment, which is, arguably, a good problem to have. With Milner, it feels like the midfield has more control – something which was lacking vs Fulham. Keita and Lallana are two good options from the bench. The front three remain the same. Mo Salah will be fresh after a break, while Mane and Firmino return after good performances for Senegal and Brazil. Anfield will be a big factor in this one. A fast start could see a similar game to our performance against Arsenal earlier in the season. Regardless of City’s result at Fulham, the momentum gained from a win on Sunday will be vital for the title run-in.
