By Adam Brown (@AdamMNVi) Merry Christmas! Festive football sees Liverpool host West Brom after dismantling Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. Top of the league at Christmas, the Reds are beginning to find their peak-form of the season. Sam Allardyce is yet to get off the mark after the Baggies lost 3-0 to Aston Villa. The former England manager will be preparing a bus for the Reds, but it could be in vain if Klopp’s side put on a repeat display. Positive news for Liverpool this week as Thiago, James Milner and Xherdan Shaqiri all returned to first-team training. Klopp’s deck is beginning to rejuvenate after persevering over the last month.

Here’s how we should line up: The Reds travel to Newcastle on New Year’s Eve which could see some players rested, but there should be no changes to the back five which started against the Eagles. The captain is looking better every game after another commanding performance from the six. Curtis Jones and Wijnaldum complete the midfield trio but a selection headache is beginning to loom with Naby Keita, James Milner and Thiago all competing for minutes. It’s too early to start Thiago after returning, but it would be unsurprising to see the former Bayern Munich man get some minutes before starting the next game. The Spain international is a dangerous option should Klopp’s side struggle to find a way through Allardyce’s bus. The main front three should start after Roberto Firmino put on his best display of the season. Sadio Mane will be keen to continue his scoring form after breaking his mini drought while Mo Salah looked unplayable. Big Sam will need time to organise his new squad which means it’s a good time to play West Brom. The Reds’ current form should be too much for the Baggies to deal with. Score prediction: Liverpool 3 – 0 West Brom
