Liverpool will be grateful to be back at Anfield after two more disappointing away trips to add to the growing list of away gloom from 2022/23.
However, it doesn’t get any easier for Jurgen Klopp’s side as the Reds welcome title-chasing Arsenal to Merseyside and anything less than all three points will almost surely end any slim hopes of a top-four Premier League finish once and for all.

Here’s how I think the German will select his XI…
How we should line up: Formation 4-3-3
Liverpool have enjoyed success almost exclusively in this fixture down the years but this clash comes around with both sides in very different places in terms of confidence, form and indeed position.
From the midweek snoozefest at Chelsea, the likes of Curtis Jones, Joe Gomez and both regular Arsenal slayers Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino will be desperate to keep their place in the side, however, none of the above truly grasped their opportunity with both hands and performances across the board were mediocre at best.
As such, with this a must-win encounter for Klopp’s charges, it has to be what is considered the current strongest, most creative and most in-form side ready to take to the pitch…
Lineup prediction: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Elliott; Nunez, Salah, Gakpo.
Score prediction: Liverpool 2-1 Arsenal
