The Reds will be looking to extend their Premier League winning streak to five when they take on Fulham at Anfield on Wednesday.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are fresh off the back of four back-to-back wins in the league after a nail-biting climax against Spurs’ on Sunday. Whilst high-flying Fulham will arrive at Anfield in high spirits after narrowly losing 2-1 to Manchester City at Craven Cottage. Marco Silva’s men have been one of the surprise packages in the Premier League this season and still have dreams of playing European football next year, so it won’t be a stroll in the proverbial park.

The Anfield club still have a seven-point gap to make up to Manchester United having played a game more, so the German – who is expected to find himself in hot water with the FA – was unsurprisingly still pessimistic about his side’s fleeting hopes of Champions League qualification, especially with his side now conceding at least once in each of their last five matches.

Liverpool could be without Diogo Jota after he suffered a bruised hip at the weekend, Roberto Firmino remains on the sideline as he continues struggling to recover from a muscle injury, Naby Keita and Stefan Bajcetic also remain out through injury.

Thiago is also expected to miss the remainder of the season and will undergo surgery on a hip injury.

Here’s how I think the Reds will set up.

Formation: 4-3-3

I expect Darwin Nunez to be reinstated to the starting XI, following the injury sustained by Jota, and two games in four days may be too much for Luis Diaz at this stage of his return.

Thiago’s absence could see Curtis Jones continue his run of consecutive starts whilst captain Jordan Henderson will also be hoping to return to the starting lineup to replace Harvey Elliott following his start.

The only other change could see Kostas Tsimikas replace Andy Robertson after the Scot endured a difficult afternoon on Sunday and will need a rest at some point during the run-in.

XI: Alisson; Trent, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Fabinho, Jones, Henderson; Salah, Gakpo, Nunez.
