Alisson’s performance at the weekend showed why Jurgen Klopp spent such a high figure on him. The Brazilian kept us in the game with multiple good saves to ensure that we could get something from it. Liverpool have got plenty of depth in midfield, so with the game against Manchester City coming up, we may as well use it. Liverpool can look to bring the likes of Milner, Wijnaldum or Fabinho on if necessary – Where did all this depth come from!? Sturridge has scored against both Chelsea and PSG, and with support from Salah, Mane, and Firmino, he will undoubtedly get chances against a Napoli side who aren’t accustomed to playing against attacks like ours.
While Shaqiri is a viable option, it’s best for Klopp to wait for Salah to improve his goalscoring, rather than take him out of the lineup. The Egyptian King’s performances have been good apart from some finishing, and we saw this last season where Salah didn’t start firing consistently until later on in the season. Trust in Mo. Napoli will provide a different threat to PSG, but they’re a side who Liverpool can get through comfortably – especially if the Italians play like they did against Belgrade.
