Liverpool travel to a resurgent West Ham United on Wednesday evening as their hopes of breaking into the top four become increasingly unlikely.

Having picked up wins against fellow strugglers Leeds and Nottingham Forest in their last two, Jurgen Klopp’s men are looking to finish the season off in style with the pressure seemingly well and truly off.

The London Stadium has been a happy hunting ground for The Reds in recent years, winning four of their last five fixtures against The Hammers. Plus, with key players; Diaz and Thiago starting to return from injury, partnered with Diogo Jota’s return to form, Klopp will be optimistic his side can bring all three points back to Merseyside.

Stefan Bajetic, Naby Keita and Calvin Ramsay are all still missing through injury, whilst the Roberto Firmino farewell tour is likely to skip another leg.

With all that in mind, here’s how I think The Reds will line up on Wednesday evening:

I expect Luis Diaz to make his highly anticipated return to the starting XI. The Columbian has made two cameo appearances off the bench in recent weeks, and with a clash against top-four chasing rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, this could be the perfect opportunity for the boss to integrate the tricky winger back into the side.

I also anticipate Klopp will chop and change the midfield after sticking with the same three for the last four fixtures, with the recently ever-present Curtis Jones as part of that rotation.

Lineup prediction: 4-3-3

Alisson, Trent, Konaté, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Thiago, Elliott; Salah, Jota, Diaz.

Score prediction: West Ham United 1 – 3 Liverpool
