A Huge Win!

A massive win for Liverpool away at Tottenham tonight and it was a much much better performance compared to what we have been watching recently.

Trent Alexander-Arnold looked like a different player this evening, he seems to have gained a bit more confidence back and his performance tonight will only add to that. A great finish for our second goal and some lovely passes to set up other goals and get us on the attack.

The midfield three of Thiago, Gini Wijnaldum, and James Milner was great too. Milner put in quite the shift tonight and for a 35-year-old man, he’s putting a lot of those youngsters to shame. Gini dominating in certain parts of the game and being a real presence and then Thiago just passing the ball about like it’s nothing. Lovely to see.

Very happy for Roberto Firmino tonight also, similar to rent he seemed to have a bit more confidence about him tonight and he topped it off with a goal that will do him the world of good. Mo Salah was unlucky not to get his goal and make it 14 in the league and Sadio Mane got himself into double figures scoring his 10th Premier League goal of the season.

An all-around solid team performance tonight, still a few kinks to iron out but that win will be a huge confidence and morale boost for the entire squad and fingers crossed it puts us in good spirits for an important fixture period ahead.

Jordan Henderson

I thought Jordan Henderson was superb at the back tonight.

He’s making a very unnatural position look natural for him and it doesn’t really surprise me at this point. The fact that we are relying on our two best midfielders in Henderson and Fabinho to fill the void left at center-back when Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez got injured is madness but both have them have put a great shift in and it looks like it may have to stay that way for a while with Joel Matip being substituted again at half-time.

West Ham Up Next

An in-form West Ham up next in the Premier League for Liverpool on Sunday. A quick turnaround for the Reds and there were a few tired legs towards the end of tonight’s game so it’s important we recover well and get ready for a very important period of games.
