Article by Lauren Black -@Lauren_Black9Liverpool are triumphant over Tottenham in our first big game against Top four opposition in the league this season and here are some of the things we learned about it.Even on our worst days we can winI think most people will agree with me when I say that was not our best game, we had some great moments but we also had some dodgy moments that could have cost us. However, even though it was not our best game we still could have had a score line of 5/6/7 nil! Tottenham weren’t on their A game, but that goal at the very end still made me nervous for the remainder of the game. These are the game that we have got to take our chances in because a team like Spurs can punish you at any moment if you give them the opportunity. But not focusing on the few sloppy moments, that is our fifth win on the run now with only two goals conceded. The Reds will be a force to be reckoned with this season and I can’t wait.Bobby Firmino is our most valuable playerForget about your Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Virgil Van Dijk and be thankful that you have Bobby up front. The man is a machine who just doesn’t stop, everyone is focusing more on the fact that Mo hasn’t really hit the mark and that Sadio is scoring for fun but Firmino is the engine that runs those two in that forward line and without him they wouldn’t get half the opportunities they do.Today he was everywhere and that’s the Bobby we saw last season, the first two game of the season he didn’t really do much of that but now he’s back into the swing of it and he got the second goal today that will give him that extra boost for the coming fixtures as that is what he has been lacking so far this season.Spurs could have done with a few extra legsNo new signings has definitely affected the way Tottenham are playing at the minute and Jamie Redknapp actually said something right in this game (I know I couldn’t believe it either). The reason why so many of our players have stepped up this season is obviously because they want to do well but also because there is competition for places so they are wanting to give 110% every game so that they can start the next one where as at Spurs half of their players know they will be playing in every game and therefore might think oh well it’s fine because I’m starting the next game anyway. That’s not the right attitude to have in this league and every individual needs to be stepping up and putting on a good performance and you didn’t see that from some of their players today.Roll on the next gamePSG at home? Bring it on.We should be nervous heading into this game, it’s PSG who are French champions, they have Neymar, Mbappe and Cavani up front. That’s fine. We have Salah, Mane, Firmino, Van Dijk, Keita, Alisson and the entirety of the our squad who can cause damage to their team so why not be full of confidence for next Tuesday. If the squad goes home now and starts looking at all the things that they can improve on and do better to succeed then there is no doubt we can beat PSG on Tuesday night.Article by Lauren Black -@Lauren_Black9
