19 year old Trent Alexander Arnold took a well earned break from defensive duties during the week as he took part of the offical media launch for Liverpool’s 2018/19 kit.
The young right back has been in fine form of late and it appears his confidence has not only grown on the pitch but off it too. After breaking into the first team this season, racking up twenty three appearances, not to mention a few Man of The Match performances, Trent has also developed his off field responsibilities and the local lad is flourishing in the media spot light.
During the media session both Trent Alexander Arnold and Liverpool Captain Jordan Henderson gave their thoughts on the new kit in terms of look and feel with Henderson also giving an insight into what the rest of the squad think of the new kit. But the real question fell to Trent as Paul Machin asked him to check his pockets…….
Trent ” Obviously its funny, for people saying stuff like that I’m happy for it to be said and not the other way around. Sane is a fantastic opponent, I’m glad people have seen I came out on top of that one on one duel.”
However Alexander- Arnold believes it is not all down to him “I said after the first leg if it was just one on one he might have got past me a few times, it was thanks to the players that were around me that supported me. They made it a lot easier for me and a lot harder for them to get past a few of us rather than just one person being me. We really suffocated them and we had the game plan perfect and we executed it perfectly and we came out on top.”
