Starting XI: How should Liverpool line up against West Ham?

@AdamMNVi

“SIMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMEONE is a….…..”

Anyway, Atletico are lightwork for Klopp’s reds – it’s time to focus on a trip to the London Stadium.

Liverpool must begin to mount maximum pressure on the top of the table with the return of Fabinho and Thiago, and with the international break after this one, it looks to have just come at the right time with Firmino, Keita and Milner facing some time on the sidelines.

West Ham are the best they’ve been for some time and will be looking to utilise counter-attacks, but that’s what most teams do against us – the Reds must take full control of the game from early on.

Here’s how we should line up:

There’s no need to change the back four from midweek after that display. Tsimikas maintains his place with the Greece international looking more confident every week.

The return of Fabinho to the midfield adds that world-class element in the number six position. And after back-to-back impressive displays, Oxlade-Chamberlain has earned a place in the starting XI. His performance against Atletico was the best we’ve seen for some time – give him the chance to build on it.

WIth Firmino out, the front three picks itself as Jota takes up the central role with Mo and Sadio on the flanks.

Despite some positive performances from the Hammers in the last few weeks, there is a gulf in class that we need to show on Sunday, and Klopp will demand a response from his team after seeing them drop a 2-0 lead last week against Brighton.

Score prediction: West Ham 0 – 2 Liverpool
