A disappointing result for the Reds this weekend as they let a 2-0 slip away at West Brom. A big week for Liverpool with the First leg of the Champions League semi-final against Roma just around the corner and the race for Top four heating up it was vital the Reds got a result today. Danny Ings ends goal scoring drought Only what can be described as relief for Danny Ings, October 2015 was the last time Ings scored in the Premier League for Liverpool and you can tell by his celebrations just how much it meant to him. This was only his fifth start for the Reds throughout his three years here and having struggled with injury I couldn’t be happier for him. He had a great opportunity to add a second but a great save from Foster denied him but you could see the confidence he was playing with and clearly his match fitness is improving. Oxlade-Chamberlain impresses again  The 24-year-old has come into form in recent weeks and put another good shift in when he came off the bench replacing Sadio Mane on the left. He seems to have found a position that suits him well and allows him to run with the ball as well as provide for the front three which is exactly what he did for Mo Salah in the second half adding another assist to his tally. A shaky start to a big week ahead? What was looking to be a solid 2-0 win to keep the spirits high in the camp then became a nervous moment. A big week for Liverpool with the first leg of the Champions League semi-final on Tuesday at Anfield, today’s game should have been an easy win with West Brom at the bottom of the table and it was heading in that direction until the final 15 minutes came around. Momentum is important during this stage of the season so a draw today dents that momentum and may put a downer on the mood of fans, players and the manager coming up to Tuesday night. Mo Salah???Player of The Year? 31 goals in 33 Premier League games this season for Mo Salah which makes him level with Luis Suarez. With three games left surely he will break this goal scoring recording and with the PFA Player of the Year coming up he is surely the likely candidate for first place?
