Liverpool supporters across the pond have organised a 3-day weekend event as a celebration of Liverpool Football Club. And to be honest, who really needs an excuse for a 3-day party!?KOPCON 2019 will be the first ever Liverpool Supporters Convention to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The event has been organised by Amy Kate Sokoll, Alex Malone, Danny Greenwood and Marc Kenny.The group are spread across the world but have collectively come together to organise KOPCON. One of the partners, Amy Kate Sokoll from California said “The idea has been kicked about for a couple of years individually by the partners of KOPCON and over the last few months we came together and decided it was finally time to do it.”Why?“This is what being a Red is all about! We’re a family, and what better way to celebrate than getting together for a few days, swapping stories, meeting new members and sharing our love for LFC!”Why Vegas?“Why not??! Fun, sun and good times. Plus, some of the most reasonable hotel rates and airfares where we can gather from all over Canada and the US. We’ve received inquiries from the UK and elsewhere, all are welcome!”How has the support of the event gone?“We’re really encouraged. We have just announced the event and the buzz has already been created, not only in North America but in the UK as well.” Are there plans to make this an annual event?Absolutely!! Just like some people rent the same lakeside cabin every summer, we want KOPCON to be marked on their calendar annually!”Anything else you would like to add? “Looking forward to seeing everyone in Las Vegas to paint the town RED!” Well, that’s me sold. Anyone else???————————————————————————————————————————– The action packed weekend will take place from Thursday the 30^th of May right through to Sunday the 2^nd of June. KOPCON have partnered up with The Westgate Hotel and have secured some outstanding room rates for any Reds heading over for the event. If you choose to stay at The Westgate Hotel you will receive free parking, free wifi and free use of the gym facilities. Thursday 30^th

Start the weekend off with a trip to McMullan’s Irish Pub, the Liverpool Supporters Club of Las Vegas. A private space has been reserved inside McMullan’s for KOPCON attendees in which you can drink, sing and immerse yourself in the KOPCON kick-off party!

Music and entertainment will be provided by Marc Kenny, one of the organisers, Liverpool fan and a local Liverpool musician with a fantastic reputation. I’ve seen Marc a number of times around Liverpool myself and I can guarantee you will enjoy every second of his set!

Friday 31^st

This is the one…. POOL PARTY!! Hungover from the Friday? All your problems will be solved by sunning it up in the Vegas sun. More drinks will obviously be available and there will be more Liverpool themed entertainment to get you right back in the mood.You are also permitted to bring flags and banners to the pool party but there is a small fee included if you wish to do so. See website for details.Once the party has wound down you are free to do as you please during the evening. As we are all aware there is plenty to do in and around Vegas during the night time, whether it be a stroll down the World Famous Strip, a visit to some of the hotels and casinos available to you or just grab something to eat.If you are feeling spontaneous I have checked ahead and Celine Dion and Christina Aguilera are performing on the Friday. So you know, treat yourself.

Saturday 1^st

Saturday is the meet and greet! Liverpool legends will be available for photos and autographs (limited to 2 per person). Then it’s onto the main event, Legends night!! Head over to the Westgate Hotel Ballroom for a night of live entertainment, speeches from legends and…….a bar!!The Liverpool legends attending are Terry McDermott, Howard Gayle and David Johnson.Match day entertainer and partner Marc Kenny will provide some of the entertainment which is expected to go on til the early hours of the morning! Flags, banners and loud voices are welcome!

Sunday 2^nd

Sad times on Sunday as the event draws to a close. Don’t worry though it doesn’t mean your trip has to end. There’s plenty to do in Vegas and you may need the extra day to recover anyway by the sounds of it! If you are still in the mood to party the Celtic convention is in the same hotel, starting on the Sunday.
