Written by: Daniel Ghorbal @GhorbalDanWith just 16 games to go, Wolves away alongside our trip Manchester City is arguably one of the toughest tests left for Jurgen’s reds. The hosts have been scintillating at stages this season, notably defeating the current champions City home and away, the first team to do that to Pep Guardiola’s side since he was appointed as manager in 2016.Adama Traore was undoubtedly the key protagonist in both of Wolves’ victories over City, and the Spaniard has burst into life this season, adding goals and assists to his raw pace and strength that was already there. His partnership with Raul Jimenez has caught the eye of football fans across the world, with the Mexican scoring 19 goals in 38 this season, as well as having more goal contributions than any other player in the Premier League, albeit playing more than any other player with Wolves’ involvements in Europe.Despite this positivity booming around the Midlands club, the lack of signings thus far has been worrying for Nuno, operating with a small squad which is never a good idea with a congested fixture period.

Ahead of Thursdays match, the Wolves XI will probably be unchanged from their recent fixtures against Newcastle, Manchester United and Southampton, with no fresh injures occurring as a result of that busy period.Wolves have the luxury of playing this game with no pressure whatsoever, knowing that a defeat against Liverpool is to be expected, whilst knowing that they have more tools than any other team to find a way past the reds. If we were to lose any more points this season, it wouldn’t surprise me if it was against Nuno’s excellent side. Fatigue and tiredness may be an issue but it is still bound to be a fascinating encounter.Written by: Daniel Ghorbal @GhorbalDan
