By Adam Brown – @AdamMNViJamie Carragher’s mate sends a text and the football world discovers the new best way of brain-training. The challenge was to put together a world XI (since the year you were born) with some restrictions; no player could be representatives of the same nation and no players could have played for the same club at any point in their careers. From tweet replies to group chats, it’s been an entertaining week – Not so much when being told that Kalidou Koulibaly had played for Gent which meant my team with a Gerrard – de Bruyne midfield was void. Nonetheless, as we’re all stuck in quarantine – it’s a great way to sharpen football knowledge and remember some legendary names in recent football history. As it’s been around a week since the game began – it’s time to evolve. In this Liverpool edition, we put together the Reds best XI using Carragher’s rules.– No player selected can have played for the same former club at any point in their professional careers– One representative per nation
