Easy this Champions League business isn’t it? Six games, six wins.

And what a win it was. 8 changes made for Liverpool against the current best side in Serie A and it was all pretty good. Well except for the first 20 minutes, they were a bit dull. But you know what, it doesn’t matter.

That was the perfect combination of everything; important minutes for the likes of Origi, Taki, Ox etc. Some great experience for the likes of Morton, Neco etc. Salah and Mané played, played well and Mo got another goal.

AND NO ONE GOT INJURED!!!

Happy days!

Alisson  – 8

To say he was at fault for the goal would be harsh, he had to react quickly and unfortunately couldn’t get it away further. Made a huge save late in the second half, which just goes to show he never beats himself up about things, even in a game that we consider a dead rubber.

Neco – 7.5

Can see this lad growing in confidence each and every game. Big shoes to fill and you can tell he’s not the finished product, but he’s not meant to be. He was still creative when he needed to be and put in a hell of a shift defensively.

Phillips – 9

HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA

Konate – 9

Bullied Zlatan all over the place, didn’t give him or his ego a sniff in that game. Didn’t for one second look out of place. To be fair, Zlatan is like 4893 years old but don’t take anything away from Ibou.

Tsimikas – 8

A couple of wonderful crosses, a cheeky nutmeg, possibly nearly and almost certainly should have given away a penalty but I don’t really care. I adore him.

Morton – 8.5

Some of his passing and in particular, his long balls were outstanding tonight. AC Milan are top of Serie A. Tyler Morton is a child. I repeat, a child. Now I know Serie A isn’t what is was, but f*ck me. Tyler was immense tonight.

Ox – 9

Proper grafted tonight Ox. Huge amount of credit for his role in the first goal; dropped a shoulder, went past one, took on another before shooting and Mo did the rest. Could have had another later n the second half but wasn’t to be. Another encouraging performance from Ox.

Taki – 7

His work rate, tacking back and pressing really impressed me and is what stuck out to me during that game but having just had a mooch at his stats, he created 3 key passes during the game so in fact, he was quite creative too.

Salah – 8

Played just over an hour, did his business, scored another goal, broke a few more records and got off without getting injured. Another successful night for Mo Salah.

Mane – 7.5

Again not his most prolific game in front of goal only managing one shot, which to be fair, was on target. However, that’s not to say he wasn’t impactful, because he was.

Origi – 8

I’ll never say a bad word about this man again, what he can bring to this side when called upon is unbelievable. He’s had bad performances, sure. But you can’t fault the guy when he delivers. Supply was short tonight, but he still found himself in the right place at the right time and bagged himself a goal.

Subs

Keita – N/A

Found himself with a great chance but you know what, once again, I’m just happy to see him on the road to recovery. Vital minutes for him heading to the the busy festive period.

Gomez – N/A

Same as above.

Fabinho– N/A

Only played ten, but to be fair Divock deserved a rest!

Bradley & Woltman

Happy for them and insanely jealous of them in equal measure that they got a run out at the San Siro to be honest.
