There is still a lot to play for this season for the men in red before all eyes shift towards the European Championships this summer. In what will be Jürgen Klopp’s final season in the Anfield dugout, his team remains on the hunt for two more trophies, the Europa League, and the Premier League. With the Carabao Cup already in the bag after Virgil van Dijk’s 118th minute winner, there is the chance for a triple to give Klopp the perfect farewell.

However, for a few Reds, there is a chance for more silverware this summer in Germany. Euro 2024 is set to kick off on Friday 14th June, with Andy Robertson’s Scotland taking on hosts Germany. Scotland’s skipper will also come up against teammate Dominik Szoboszlai in the group stage, but the duo are not the only reds that will feature at the summer showpiece in Germany. Some will even go into the tournament thinking they have a strong chance to win it. Here are a few that will hope to lift the trophy on 14th July with their countries.

Trent Alexander-Arnold & Joe Gomez – England

Although TAA has been on the sidelines for a lengthy spell, he will hope that his talents will earn him a place in Gareth Southgate’s squad. His ability to transition into or play in midfield could also offer Southgate tactical flexibility. In his absence, Gomez has stepped up, also in the place of Robertson. Likewise, his versatility could see him make the plane to Germany. The latest Euro odds have England as the tournament favourites and our defensive duo will want to be at the forefront of any success.

Ibrahima Konaté – France

Ibra was named in the latest France squad for the friendlies against Germany and Chile, which is a good indication that he will be in Deschamps squad for the summer. Also blighted with injury issues this campaign, Konaté has formed a formidable partnership with Virgil van Dijk when selected alongside the Dutchman.

Virgil van Dijk & Cody Gakpo – Netherlands

Our skipper and Cody will also want to go deep into the tournament and will potentially face their teammate Konaté in the group stage. The Netherlands might not be the formidable force they once were, but with a good blend of talent and experience, anything is possible under Ronald Koeman.

Diogo Jota – Portugal

Another player that has been desperately unlucky with injuries this season, Jota will hope to first fire Liverpool to more trophies before setting his sights on Euro glory. Portugal are another team stacked with world-class talent and if it all fits together, they could certainly go all the way.
