As we all know, the fan culture of Liverpool Football Club is very unique and we, as Reds’ supporters, take great pride in the different ways we choose to express our love for our club and those who have represented it with distinction. One of those ways, as we all know, is with the creation, and the displaying, of banners.
No other set of supporters create banners like we do. Forget the St George’s flag with a team name written on it, or a cheap piece of plastic with a slogan printed on top, our banners are much better, and much more creative, than that!
One of the men responsible for making some of the most iconic Liverpool banners in existence is Mark Sweatman aka ‘The Craftsman of The Kop’.
In our latest documentary, we get to know Mark and find out why he chose to start producing banners and where he gets his inspiration from.
